This means that machine buffing and polishing is required at least once a year. If the vehicle spends a lot of time outdoors and exposed to the elements, it needs to be buffed and polished two or more times a year. Buffing and polishing gives your paint protection from the affects of the sun, and it keeps your vehicle looking shiny and new.
